I’ve always loved dogs; I adopted my first dog Scoob when I was in kindergarten. Once he was older, he became diabetic and needed special care including insulin shots twice a day, which I learned how to administer. For 13 years he lived a long and happy life because of the care I provided and the bond we had. I learned how much time/work it takes to have a dog, and I knew I wanted to be involved with dogs/animals somehow.

In the fall of 2023, I started working at a doggy daycare and loved interacting with the dogs and seeing all the different personalities and breed traits. I worked there for about 8 months and knew I wanted to become a trainer, so I enrolled in Starmark Academy which is a prestigious dog training trade school in Texas.

At Starmark Academy, I learned how to understand dog behavior, train dogs, as well as kennel management and graduated as a Certified Canine Training and Behavior Specialist. At Starmark I had challenging tests for advanced obedience, agility, tricks, nose work as well as written tests. Upon graduating from Starmark Academy, I started training my personal dog Chewie (Goldendoodle). Before I started training him, he would jump up on people and bark at them. Now he is off leash trained. I also have a Golden Retriever Buster who is training to be a service dog.

As I continue to train, I continue to learn. I love training dogs and am excited to share the knowledge and skills I’ve learned with you.
